Like other drugs cigarettes have a very additive element called Nicotine. We see this all the time. Young people wanting to be cool and be a part of the group. They really don't realize that they are literally poisoning their bodies with these cancer sticks. I remember my own self being tempted to smoke cigarettes when I was young. I did participate some, but it was only a small stint. Unfortunately, for many of these teenagers it last well into their adulthood. Of course food and drink is the first things that come to most people's  minds.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But there are also other things that people lose control of and start to indulge in. One such thing is smoking. Picture this scenario : You have just finished your delicious Thanksgiving dinner with your folks and other relatives. You step outside to get a breath of fresh air and lo and behold there is Cousin Lenny lighting one up without any reservation whatsoever. He is oblivious to the fact that you have worked your tail off to not take a drag on a cigarette for 3 months now. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He says hello to you and pulls out his pack of Camels and offers one to you in one of those fraternal type gestures. You say NO but he insist that you partake in this regular Thanksgiving tradition. These people can sometimes more more of a problem than they actually help.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Being around a person who cannot relate to your Smoking habits can be sometimes very frustrating.That is why it is important to find others who are experiencing the same struggles that you have. They think it is cool and they believe it is a way to be accepted by their peers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the long run, they will see that it wasnt that cool and the potential consequences for trying to be cool can be devastating as we all know. &lt;br /&gt;Lung cancer is soon to take over as the number one killer in adult human beings under the age of 70. And it is a ravishing and painful death as many with Lung cancer can attest to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What we must do is continue to encourage our children to take up activities that are positive and meant to build them up. Others say that Eating is the most powerful. I dont know but from first hand experience Smoking and Nicotine are really, really, powerful addictions as any.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Back in the 1950s big tobacco companies were pushing the great benefits of smoking to your health and how this little cigarette could make you cool in Life. And give you a Life that others would envy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember growing up seeing the commercials of the Marlboro Cowboy and how glamorous it all looked with smoking cigarettes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is a shame that these same big companies hid the real truth from us for so many years. These things are cancer sticks , plain and simple as that. These companies purposefully put in a specific amount of Nicotine in these cancer sticks to get the general population hooked and addicted to them. They literally did this with testing and research and implemented these insane campaigns to get people dependant on them and make obscene amounts of money off them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nicotine is so powerful but the almighty Dollar is even more powerful. And the crisis does not seem to be slowing down whatsoever.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Consequently, I felt compelled to start this little Blog here that would provide some resources and information to give a lending hand to many who just cant seem to stop smoking. It is truly an addiction and the power of Nicotine cannot be underestimated as it so ruthlessly  claims the lives of victims by the hundreds of thousands each and every year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I welcome you here and want to let you know there is help and there is hope.
